Acne Scars::

Acne, commonly also called as pimples is a disease of sebaceous glands(oil glands). These develop due to the blocking of oil glands, excess sebum(oil) production and secondary bacterial growth in these glands. Once the acne heals , there is a tendency to leave behind scars(mostly depressions) which are cosmetically not acceptable. These scars once they develop respond very minimally to medical treatment and require collagen remodulation by various methods.

a) Co2 laser:

This is the gold standard for treating acne scars. This laser acts selectively on water molecules in the skin and thereby causing collagen modulation.Indications: i) Moderate to severe acne scarring ii) Facial resurfacing
